Abstract

Background: The increasing elderly population in Indonesia has been accompanied by a rise in various health problems. Studies in Indonesia have shown that 85.0% vi folder adults have poor sleep quality, 49.3% experience moderate cognitive impairment, and 40.3% have a moderate quality of life. This study aimed to determine the relationship between sleep quality and cognitive status with the quality of life among older adults in Bayuning Village, Kadugede District, in 2026. Methods: This study vi foldervian analytical observational design with a crosssectional approach. The study population consisted of 187 older adults, with a sample of 65 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments included the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Indonesia (PSQI), Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), and World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF). Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Spearman Rank correlation test. Results: Most respondents had poor sleep quality (45 respondents; 69.2%), severe cognitive impairment (36 respondents; 55.4%), and poor quality of life, with 23 respondents (35.4%) categorized as having a very poor quality of life and 21 respondents (32.3%) categorized as having a poor quality of life. Bivariate analysis showed a statistically significant relationship (p-value = 0.000). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between sleep quality and cognitive status with the quality of life vi folder adults in Bayuning Village, Kadugede District, in 2026. Recommendation: Healthcare professionals are expected to conduct regular screening of sleep quality and cognitive status and provide appropriate education and interventions to improve the quality of life vi folder adults
